Ingredients
Grated carrot - 1 1/2 cups
Milk - 3/4 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup (Adjust to taste)
Milk powder - 2 tbsp (optional but enhances taste)
Melted butter or Ghee - 1 or 2 tsp
Any nuts of your choice chopped - as required
Steps
1. In pan fry nuts in 1/2 tsp of melted butter till it turns golden.
2. In the same pan add grated carrot and stir fry for 4,5 mins till water is absorbed.
3. Now add 3/4 cup milk in that pan , let it cook for 6,7 mins and stir once in while so it dont get burnt.
4. Once all the milk is absorbed , add sugar and melted butter left.
5. Constantly stir for sometime. You can see the butter seperates from the carrot.
6. Finally add milk powder and stir well.
7. Garnish with Nuts.
Hi, u can use milk powder aloneinstead of using milk..so halwa will get ready instantly once the carrot is cooked...no need to wait till the milk gets done..taste is more delicious whl using powder than milk..plz try it next time - venkat
