Carrot Halwa


Ingredients


Grated carrot - 1 1/2 cups
Milk - 3/4 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup (Adjust to taste)
Milk powder - 2 tbsp (optional but enhances taste)
Melted butter or Ghee - 1 or 2 tsp
Any nuts of your choice chopped - as required

 Steps

1. In pan fry nuts in 1/2 tsp of melted butter till it turns golden.
2. In the same pan add grated carrot and stir fry for 4,5 mins till water is absorbed.


3. Now add 3/4 cup milk in that pan , let it cook for 6,7 mins and stir once in while so it dont get burnt.
4. Once all the milk is absorbed , add sugar and melted butter left.
5. Constantly stir for sometime. You can see the butter seperates from the carrot.
6. Finally add milk powder and stir well.

7. Garnish with Nuts.

Oats Wheatrava Idly

Ingredients
Oats - 1 cup
Wheatrava - 1/2 cup
Vegetables - 1/4 cup of your choice finely chopped
Greenchilli - 1 or 2 finely chopped
Coriander leaves,Oil,Salt,Curd - as required
Lime juice or Eno salt (Optional)
For Seasoning

Mustard seeds, Chana dal, Hing, Curry leaves, Cashews (optional)

Steps

1. Dry roast Oats for 4,5 mins and make it as fine powder in mixer.
2. Transfer powdered oats in a bowl.

3. Dry roast wheatrava until it gets hot and transfer to the oats bowl.
 
4. Now in pan season Mustard seeds, Channa dal, Hing,Curry leaves and cashew in oil. Once those gets fried add vegetables i used carrots and cauliflower , saute it for a while then transfer these too to same bowl.
5. Finally add curd,lemon juice or eno salt a pinch . Now add little water and make it like idli batter.
 
6. Then cook those in idli plates like normal idlies.
7. Delicious and  Healthy idli goes well with any spicy chutney. Tastes more if u have it  HOT.
